Pumpkin Patch/Apple Orchard
Nope, that one has diwt on it, Bailey says :)
Hmmm...that one has dirt on it, but an added bonus...a whem (worm)
On the hayride back from the Pumpkin Patch
Of course they have to make sure they are good!!!
I think we have PLENTY of Apples for now :)
While Daddy get's to carry the good's back...the hayride was taking WAY too long, so we walked back.
***I know your probably wondering what happened to Bailey's sweet little "whem", she held him the whole way back on the hayride, then she get's down, then we follow and she's looking down, then tell's me "I put the "whem" in his home" which was right at the bottom of the steps to get off the wagon :( So I'm sure her little "whem" didn't live long after that...lol

Catch up
First thing's first, I wanted to catch you up with what's been going on around here lately, besides traveling..lol
Quaid has been in Flag Football for about a month now and aboslutely loves it...well, if you had a Daddy like his you really can't help it..lol You all know we are HUGE Buckeye fans, last time Johnny went to Ohio he came back with a jersey for Quaid. The jersey is #33 who is James Lauranitis, I believe he's a running back??? Either way, Quaid has football on Tuesday evening's at the YMCA, he's been doing really well and loves to toss the football every night when Daddy gets home from work for practice. He truly is just like his Dad, I have people tell me this all the time, but really HE IS!!!! Quaid is all about practice, practice and more practice, this also includes watching all the football games he can. Although it seems as if he's doing more practicing during the game instead of watching the game, it's really quite a sight to watch him and his imagination run wild with all his pretend tackles and touchdown's all over the house. One day you'll see Quaid starting for the Ohio State Buckeye's ;)
On another note, Quaid has also been reading for the past few weeks, which is sooo very exciting!!! (now Johnny and I can't spell out our code words to each other...lol) However I do find it a bit overwhelming, as this is my BABY boy :( Now that he's in 1st grade this year, he has a weekly spelling test (with weekly spelling homework), Math, Science, Art, Gym and IMC (computer's and library). He is really doing well in school despite Mommy's sadness of her little boy growing up sooo fast :( lol Oh and he comes home today from school and here's how the conversation went:
Quaid: "Mom, William and I got into an argument on the bus"
Me: "Ok, what about and did you get in trouble"
Quaid: "No, we were just arguing about Obama and McCain"
Me: "Oh really, what was that about"
Quaid: "Well he said that Obama was going to win, I told him that McCain is better"
Me: "Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion and we all have the right to vote for who we think is the better canidate"
Quaid: "Well McCain is better"
Oh my...I just couldn't believe what I was hearing..soooo funny to be talking to my son about everyday life...lol He is definitely becoming his own or more like his Dad??? I can't quite figure it out yet.
Anyway, how bout Bailey??? Well, she is LOVING her alone time with Mommy these days!! She is constantly saying to me, "It's just you and me Mom". We spend our day's playing babies, (which she changes their names every day), doctor, reading, shopping, playing outside (before the dreaded cold winter comes...they are saying the "S" word already...brrr), coloring, baking, using up all the apples we picked at the orchard and doing some Preschool workbooks. Bailey amazes me everyday at what she can do and the thing's she comes up with, for instance today I told her I was going to start making her costume (I know big time PROCRASTINATION...however I do still have a week left..LOL), so she turns to me and say's, "Will I be able to fly with my wings"...lol. She's going to be a butterfly ;) I love this age and their sweet little innocence.
Bailey is definitely totally different than Quaid was at this age, now I don't wanna compare them, but really Girl's are faster at some things than Boy's...it's a little known fact!!! After our vacation to Ohio, Quaid came home with LOTS of homework (because his teacher forgot to send him home with it before we left...arrrgh) so it was a very challenging week last week trying to get him caught up with homework, get dinner ready and try to keep Bailey out of his hair. So I broke out the Preschool workbook's for her to do homework as well, keep them both busy...BRILLIANT!!! I was very pleased at how this worked out, because it used to be a little difficult to get Quaid to sit and actually work on something for a long period of time (he was always in a hurry and just wanted to see how fast he could do things...which he still is a little) but Bailey sat there and cut out all these different pieces for her turtle and took her sweet little time to make sure she was cutting it all out. I was amazed, first at the fact that I didn't have to spend all afternoon showing her HOW to even use the scissor's...she just did it!! (Quaid this took alot of time trying to get him to use the scissor's properly) Then she worked diligently on each individual piece making sure she had enough glue and put it in the right spot...very precise!!! Then there sat Quaid doing his Math homework, couting his finger's and working on problem solving..while I got dinner ready, then I checked over his homework, checked Bailey's. By that time Daddy was home and it was time to eat by 5:15!!! WOW...I believe this could actually work :) This week however was a bit different with a few day's I let them play outside as soon as Quaid got home, because our weather is going to get ALOT colder soon...so wanted them to enjoy playing outside while they could. But I'm thinking this homework thing isn't going to be so bad :)

VICTORIOUS!!!!
After a loooong day yesterday at Camp Randall and an even longer trip home, we were stuck in traffic for 3 hrs and unfortunately didn't make it home till 4:15AM :( Thankfully though we were on a charter bus, so had a bathroom, plenty of snacks and drinks...but it was a fun time :) So we are officially off to OHIO for the week, so I leave you with our stamp at Camp Randall...lol It was a GREAT game and let me tell you how refreshing it is for the good sportsmanship...even though we were the only Buckeye fans on our bus....everyone gave us a high five!! I'll post more pics when we return, I'm sure we'll have oodles by then ;)
***Oh yeah, in case you haven't noticed we have discontinued our Kodak Site, it was just too much to download them on our computer, then to the site and TIME CONSUMING...so from now on, I'll post pics on the blog or if you would like I can send some pics here and there...just ask ;)
Have a great week and GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!
